We are in Miami for a destination wedding. The weather is AMAZING and we’ve had lots of yummy Cuban Food. Not to mention the SHOPPING! Our hotel is sort of … creepy… but it is cheap and more or less clean. After we shoot this wedding I’m off to Vegas for WPPI the big photo convention. Too much travel.

It is finally time for me to get some of the photos off my harddrive and onto my wall. While researching how to make a photo wall I came across some inspiring images. I also discovered two sets of frames that come with templates! The more expensive one is by The Picture Wall Company ($350). The frames look much nicer than the Target alternative ($129), but I must admit that if I do wimp out on putting together my own collection I’ll be purchasing the alternative.

Oh. I really want one of these for the studio. The shades are made from woven together film strips. I just LOVE how they look. I photographed the artist who designed these a while back, but I had no idea he makes these AMAZING lamp shades. Oh. Drooooooool. Wonder if he would make one from old wedding movies for me.
Check out more of his work at ismism.com . Btw these awesome photso are not by me….

Event : Austin
PRA Launch Party
It was a pleasure to photograph the launch of PRA Destination Management in Austin. PRA provides event solution for groups large and small. They help with arranging details ranging from transportation to event photography and everything in between.
On a side note - the DJ, Jim, is one of my favorites in town. I accidentally unplugged his speakers during a wedding reception and he was VERY professional about the whole situation. He just smiled and fixed the (very embarrassing) problem.

I’ve been photographing the Austonian project since the ground breaking so this party was a wonderful time to celebrate with the friends I’ve made working on this project. The party spanned 4 floors - the lobby and floors 54,55, and 56. Each floor had a unique theme. This was a VERY well put together event and guests were wowed by attention to details. It was fun to watch people interacting with the spaces and moving between the different floors. I’d like to thank Johanna, Cile and Eric for making these photos possible.
